REQUIRED
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, primary care office, urgent care, wellness clinic, or weight management setting Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Strong customer service skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Responsibilities and Duties The Certified Medical Assistant will play an essential role in supporting providers, assisting patients, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day clinical operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clinical Responsibilities Rooming patients and preparing them for provider visits Obtaining and documenting vital signs, weight, height, and medical histories Administering injections and medications as ordered by the provider Assisting providers with patient evaluations and procedures Performing accurate and timely charting within the electronic medical record Educating patients on medications, follow-up care, and provider instructions Monitoring and maintaining clinical supplies and inventory Cleaning and preparing exam rooms between patients Following infection prevention and safety protocols Administrative Responsibilities Assisting with patient scheduling and appointment coordination Supporting medication refill workflows and follow-up tasks Assisting with prior authorizations and insurance-related processes Responding professionally to patient questions and concerns Collaborating with front office and clinical staff to maintain efficient office flow Assisting with general office operations and daily workflow needs Ideal Candidate Traits We are seeking someone who: Maintains a positive and professional attitude Is dependable and punctual Works well under pressure Demonstrates compassion and empathy toward patients Takes initiative and problem-solves effectively Has strong attention to detail Is comfortable adapting to change within a growing organization Values teamwork and communication Work Environment This position operates in a professional outpatient medical office environment.
