Job Description

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Rogersville, MO, is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Medical Assistant to join our Rogersville Clinic . Some travel required to our Marshfield Clinic.
Our Mission:
Ozarks Community Hospital and clinics are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare and preventive services to all patients in an atmosphere of compassion, respect, and dignity, with a commitment to care for the underserved and to improve access to care. Under the direction of the Clinic Manager provides direct and indirect patient assistance and care in the office/clinic settings. Assists in development and orientation of new office / clinic staff. Assists in coordinating activities of the office /clinic. Assists with covering work schedules and assists to improve work flow. Keeps the providers informed of both progress and potential problems. The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse and/or physician and clinic manager. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, third party payors. Successful work experience in a front office setting or in another clerical position. Strong working knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles. Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment. Great organizational and multitasking abilities. 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred. Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment. Float positions require a Valid Driver's License. If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment. OCH is an Equal Opportunity Employer
