The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (MA) works under the supervision of leadership. The MA provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, patient information gathering and patient care in the clinic setting. Performs patient access duties i.e. patient check in and appointment setting for the Provider's office to support patient care delivery and follow up.   • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 10 to 25 pounds.

  • Comprehend and understand physician orders, medical terminology, and staff requests.
  • Ability to collect thorough information regarding patient's condition and evaluate effects of care.
  • Problem solve, manipulate numbers, adaptability, interpret data, calculate, comprehend, understand, explain, evaluate short term and long term memory.
  • Follow policy and procedures; disseminate information and/or instructions to the appropriate person(s).
  • Prioritize work assignments and follow through to completion. Ability to manage stress and remain calm in a fast paced environment. Essential Sensory Requirements
  • Ability to visually assess patient condition; Visual, hearing, feeling, smell. Exposure to Hazards
  • Blood/Body fluids, needles, cuts, back injuries electrical output of personal computers, eye and neck strain and any other medical office related hazards.
