Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist with medical procedures across various specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake processes to ensure accurate documentation. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout the visit. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray procedures, and basic life support when needed. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) efficiently by documenting patient encounters, updating medical histories, and coding diagnoses using ICD coding standards. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining medical supplies inventory. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in hospital or outpatient settings, including emergency medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, or surgical units such as OR or PICU when applicable. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding to accurately support clinical documentation. Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics with inpatient or outpatient experience. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management to ensure seamless documentation workflows. Skilled in patient service techniques including intake procedures, patient education, and providing compassionate care tailored to diverse populations such as geriatrics or trauma patients. Ability to perform venipuncture (phlebotomy), X-ray assistance, vital signs measurement, and medication administration confidently. Familiarity with hospital experience environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances adaptability in high-pressure situations like emergency medicine or trauma response. Excellent communication skills paired with organizational abilities to support medical-surgical teams effectively.
