Job Overview Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. is seeking dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of medical assisting procedures, patient care, and clinical support within diverse medical settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in medical documentation, laboratory procedures, and patient interaction, ensuring seamless clinic operations and high-quality care delivery. Responsibilities Perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures across specialties such as , primary care, and hospital medicine. Collect specimens for laboratory testing, perform phlebotomy, and manage sample labeling and documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Manage patient intake processes, update medical histories, and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems). Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating referrals or follow-up care. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care in outpatient or inpatient settings including trauma centers or emergency medicine units. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Prior experience in primary care, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and EMR/EHR management is essential. Knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medical terminology is necessary for effective patient support. Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation is required. Strong communication skills coupled with excellent patient service orientation are vital for success in this role. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are preferred.
