This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in functional medicine. We are a holistic office, offering root cause care! Phlebotomy experience required. This is for two days per week only - Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am - 4pm. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures. Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant medical information accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections, applying dressings, and assisting with manual handling of patients. We also have an in house lab and phlebotomy is a big part of the job! Support emergency response efforts by maintaining current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Basic Life Support certifications Manage medical supplies, sterilization processes, and equipment to uphold safety standards in acute care settings Ensure proper documentation of all procedures and interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations Skills Proven experience in medical environments with a focus on patient safety and quality care Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and phlebotomy. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management to ensure accurate documentation Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to healthcare safety protocols Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly recommended. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients about procedures Demonstrated ability to work efficiently.
