We are seeking a dependable, experienced, and highly organized Medical Assistant (MA) who enjoys working in a smaller practice environment and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities. Because we are a small practice, every team member plays an important role in creating an efficient, welcoming experience for our patients. Key Responsibilities Prepare and room patients for scheduled visits, including obtaining accurate vital signs, medication reconciliation, allergy verification, and updating pertinent medical information. Prepare examination rooms and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available for patient care. Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection, including blood draws, urinalysis, glucose testing, pregnancy testing, rapid testing, and other in-office testing. Administer medications and vaccines as ordered. Accurately document clinical information, procedures, medications, vaccines, testing, and other patient-care activities in the electronic medical record. Assist the Nurse Practitioner with examinations, procedures, preventive visits, physicals, and other clinical services. Process prescription refill requests according to established office protocols. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, laboratory orders/results, medical records, forms, and follow-up tasks. Communicate professionally with patients by telephone, portal, and in person. Maintain infection-control standards and clean and disinfect examination rooms and clinical equipment. Monitor clinical supplies, medications, vaccines, and laboratory materials and assist with maintaining appropriate inventory. Participate in opening, closing, and daily clinical workflows. Assist with front-office responsibilities when necessary in a small-practice environment. Recognize and appropriately communicate patient-care concerns or abnormal findings to the provider. Perform other duties appropriate to the Medical Assistant role as needed to support efficient practice operations. Takes initiative while working effectively within established practice workflows and protocols. Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows tasks through to completion. Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates professionalism at all times. Treats patients and coworkers with courtesy, patience, and respect. Contributes to a positive workplace and is willing to assist with the varied needs of a small practice. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred. CMA, RMA, CCMA, or similar certification preferred. Previous experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or a similar outpatient setting strongly preferred. Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred. Experience administering injections and vaccines preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic office technology. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, and general outpatient clinical procedures.

Schedule This is an in-person position at our Rolesville, NC office. Candidates should have reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Practice hours currently include:
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday:
9:00 AM-6:00
PM Friday:
9:00 AM-12:00
PM Wednesday:
Primarily administrative/non-clinical day Specific work hours will be discussed during the interview process.
