Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team, providing essential support across various clinical and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of medical assisting practices, including patient care, medical documentation, and office management. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and updating medical histories accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray procedures, and basic life support (BLS) protocols. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Document medical information precisely in medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, verifying insurance information, and handling medical documentation. Conduct ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing processes. Maintain proficiency in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessments. Assist with inpatient procedures or outpatient visits across specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or geriatrics. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Uphold infection control standards and assist in maintaining a safe clinical environment.
