This is an approximately 30-hour-per-week position with no evening or weekend hours . Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, and we can offer flexibility in arranging the employee's regular work schedule . We are looking for someone interested in becoming a valued, long-term member of a small medical practice. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of prior experience in a physician's office, outpatient medical practice, or similar clinical setting .

A positive and stable employment history Dependability and punctuality Excellent patient communication skills A friendly, professional manner Ability to work well as part of a small office team Good organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort working with an electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy medical office Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Greeting and rooming patients Obtaining and documenting vital signs Reviewing and updating medications and medical information Preparing patients for examination by the physician Documenting information in the electronic medical record Assisting with patient telephone calls and clinical messages Coordinating prescription/refill requests as appropriate Assisting physicians and other staff with day-to-day patient care Other clinical and administrative duties associated with an outpatient medical practice Injections EKGs Medication reconciliation Additional responsibilities will depend upon the candidate's experience and training. Schedule Approximately 30 hours per week Monday through Friday Office hours are 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Flexible scheduling may be arranged within our regular office hours No evenings No weekends We are willing to discuss different scheduling arrangements with the right candidate. Qualifications 1+ year of prior medical assistant/medical office experience required 1-3+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred Prior experience in a physician's office or outpatient practice preferred Familiarity with electronic medical records Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable transportation and ability to work at both Somerset County office locations as scheduled Professional references and a positive employment history Lives within a reasonable commuting distance Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based upon experience and qualifications.
