About the role Functions as a member of the urgent care team working in both front and back office, clerical and clinical services. What you'll do Performs all medical procedures necessary (ie. Venipunctures, vital signs and EKGs) on all patients as required. Explains testing procedure to patient prior to test. Receives specimens from patients. Visually review and log test results for completion and abnormalities. Will schedule and register patients in the office, answer telephones, meet and greet patients and assist medical providers in all other matters pertaining to the urgent care visit. Maintains strict patient confidentiality. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of venipuncture and EKG. (High proficiency) Requires good communication skills and telephone techniques. (High proficiency) Ability to work independently. (Medium proficiency) Must have a thorough knowledge of ancillary testing procedures.
