Established in 1984, the organization operates locations across Orange and Sullivan counties, including urgent care services available seven days a week without appointments. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines clinical support with front-office responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow and exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate the check-in process efficiently. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories. Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and handling patient correspondence. Support clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary. Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards. Manage inventory of medical supplies and assist with clinic organization to promote a safe and efficient environment. Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the visit. Requirements Prior experience in a medical office setting Certification in basic life support (BLS) or equivalent is required. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR/EHR management, and medical documentation practices. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members from diverse backgrounds. Ability to perform clinical procedures such as intake assessments, vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, and medication administration accurately.
Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
