Neurology Medical Assistant:
Completion of a MA education program required High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience required Active BLS required Willing to travel to different offices (Mt. Orab, Wilmington, Washington Court House and Loveland are primary locations) Medical Assistants are an essential part of our team and make a real difference in people s lives. They fulfill patient care duties and administrative tasks, liaising between patients and physicians. Intakes patients who may have mobility limitations, balance concerns, cognitive impairment, tremors Reviews and reconciles medications commonly used in neurology Prepares patients for testing or procedures Assists providers with procedures and treatments within scope, which may include injections, medication administration, or other clinic-specific procedures Provides patient education Prepares and maintains clean, fully supplied exam rooms Monitors providers In Box and PAQ. Returns calls as directed by Clinician following SOP. Coordinates referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling
