Job Description

Medical Assistant Front and back medical assistant. Full Time (Part-Time considered) Small Internal Medicine Practice-Lemoyne PA Benefits negotiable Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, organized and motivated Medical Assistant to join our small internal medicine practice in Lemoyne. This position combines both front office and clinical responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients while helping ensure efficient office operations and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, adaptable and comfortable working in a collaborative small-practice environment. Front Office Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner Manage patient check-in and check-out process Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar Answer incoming phone calls, route messages and respond to inquiries professionally Respond to emails and patient messages promptly Verify insurance eligibility and explain insurance/payment processes to patients. Address patient concerns professionally and empathetically Clinical/Back Office Responsibilities Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs and other clinical information Administer mediations and injections as directed Phlebotomy skills preferred 3-4 years in primary care medical assisting preferred. Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EHR) Collaborate with physician and administrative staff to coordinate patient care Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Medical assistant training program or equivalent experience preferred Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role preferred Phlebotomy experience or certification is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with basic office equipment and computer software Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a small practice setting Professionalism, empathy and strong attention to detail Schedule and Compensation Full time preferred; part time candidates will also be considered Compensation based on experience Benefits negotiable
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
