In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and internal medicine. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help ensure a smooth patient experience while assisting healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting patient information accurately, including medical documentation, ICD coding, and updating medical records. Support medical office management through scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling patient correspondence. Assist in specialized areas such as dermatology clinics or emergency medicine units within Level I Trauma Centers or hospital settings. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or surgical settings like ORs (Operating Rooms). Experience Prior experience in medical office settings or healthcare facilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding is essential. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is required. Inpatient experience or hospital-based roles—particularly within hospital medicine or emergency medicine—are advantageous. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, internal medicine practices, or clinic environments will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Previous exposure to Level I Trauma Centers or urgent care settings will be considered an asset for candidates seeking a fast-paced environment.
