Position Summary Occucare is seeking a reliable, team-oriented X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our occupational health team. This position is ideal for an X-ray technologist who is comfortable performing both radiology duties and the day-to-day responsibilities of a medical assistant in a fast-paced clinic environment. The selected candidate will assist with injury care, drug and alcohol testing, occupational health services, patient intake, and administrative tasks, while also performing digital X-rays as needed. Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays in accordance with clinic protocols and state regulations. Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards. Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians. Maintain a repeat rate of two percent or less. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Report immediately any equipment malfunctions to Supervisor. Log completed radiological procedures. Complete paperwork accurately and on time. Maintain examination rooms. Stock necessary office, medical, and radiological supplies. Perform medical assistant duties including vital signs, rooming patients, EMR documentation, and preparing examination rooms. Assist providers with injury care and occupational medicine services. Administration of medications and treatment as ordered by the provider Pre-employment physical support which may include, but is not limited to; vision and hearing screenings, immunization/vaccination administration, color blind testing, spirometry, ECGs, respiratory fit testing and more. Perform blood draws for lab testing Conduct drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and specimen collections. (training provided) Check in patients and verify demographic and employer information following HIPAA guidelines. Scan and upload test results, laboratory reports, and medical documentation into the EMR. Qualifications Current LMRT license or equivalent required. Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or primary care preferred. Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Skills Occupational health experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
