Previous experience may be required. Employment commitment to Samaritan is required. As a Float within Samaritan Medical Group outpatient clinics, you'll have the unique opportunity to support all outpatient service lines. Additionally, we offer roles with focus on dedicated core specialties such as Pediatrics, OB/Gyn, Urology, and Orthopedics, providing comprehensive care and expertise in these areas. This role offers a diverse and engaging work environment, allowing you to gain experience across various departments and make a meaningful impact on patient care. Individuals on this team are eligible to receive float differential at $3.00 / hour in addition to the base hourly rate. Schedule is Monday
Friday.
No weekend requirement!
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Primary and Specialty care teams at Samaritan Health Services offer complete health care for all family members from newborns to seniors through their pediatric, family medicine, internal medicine and specialty care providers. They encourage and offer preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings and counseling regarding health and lifestyle.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program preferred. Experience in applicable specialty area preferred. Lab/EKG experience preferred.
