Clinical Lab Assistant | Full Time Technicians / Patient Care Support Laboratory
DESCRIPTION

Shift Information:
This is a full time position working three 12-hour shifts per week.

Responsible for the receiving, accessioning, and distribution of laboratory specimens. Responsible for the operation of POC instrumentation such as glucometers, CoaguCheck, etc. Must be in compliance with OSHA Blood-Born Pathogen Standards, accreditation and regulatory standards and HIPAA. Performs clerical duties as assigned.
Preferred Education:
Completion of phlebotomy training via an educational program for PBT, MA, or OJT with a minimum of 3 months experience.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience with POC instrumentation
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Licensure, certification or registry with one of the phlebotomy certifying agencies such as ASCP, ASPT, etc.
Preferred Experience:
Completion of a phlebotomy training program or a minimum of 3-months experience for OJT
