Role Overview We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinical team in delivering high-quality primary care services. This role is primarily clinical, with a strong emphasis on patient care, clinical accuracy, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in hands-on clinical procedures, while also being comfortable using modern healthcare technology such as EMR systems and digital health tools. Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities (Primary Focus) Assist the Nurse Practitioner during: Patient assessments Examinations Minor procedures Perform and document: Vital signs EKGs Vaccinations Venipuncture (blood draws) Prepare and maintain: Examination rooms Clinical equipment (cleanliness, sterilization, readiness) Handle laboratory workflows: Collect, label, and process specimens accurately Coordinate with labs for timely reporting Support patient care: Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-ups Ensure patient comfort and understanding Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems Support and assist in care programs, including: Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Chronic Care Management (CCM) Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) Compliance & Quality Ensure adherence to: Infection control protocols Clinic SOPs Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Participate in quality improvement initiatives Qualifications & Skills Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required Phlebotomy certification preferred 1+ years of clinical/outpatient experience
Technical Skills:
EMR/EHR systems Basic clinical equipment (EKG, vitals, etc.) Microsoft Office / digital tools Preferred Spanish-speaking ability (strong plus) Experience with preventive care or primary care settings Core Competencies Strong clinical accuracy and attention to detail Patient-centered approach with empathy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment High reliability and professionalism Compensation $16 - $24/hour (based on experience) Job Type Full-time Hourly paid
