It is the responsibility of the employee to provide all appropriate patient information available for the provider prior to the encounter.
Major duties and responsibilities:
It will be the responsibility of the clinical staff to pull patients back, obtain vitals, document medical history and reason for visit. The employee will be responsible for triaging patient phone calls, refilling prescriptions, and basic patient care responsibilities. The employee will be available to assist with in-office procedures and treatments (injections, swabs, etc.) Minor duties and responsibilities: Answering incoming calls, assisting patients to schedule and reschedule/appointments, directing phone calls to appropriate staff. Translation services may be utilized if the coordinator is bilingual. The assistant will cross train to be able to fill any other staff position if the need arises.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma/GED required. Certified/registered medical assistant certification or licensed vocational nurse or higher are required
Experience:
Clerical experience, business office experience, electronic medical record experience, prior MA experience are all preferred.
