Immediate Position Overview We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our busy orthopedic surgery practice. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a team-based, patient-centered environment and is interested in gaining hands-on experience in orthopedics. Key Responsibilities Receive and send orders for imaging, physical therapy and surgeries, following Drs' orders Perform X-rays per physician orders (if NCT certified) Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures Schedule diagnostic tests and off-site procedures Maintain treatment supplies and equipment, including sterilization Dispose of contaminated materials in accordance with OSHA standards Obtain and manage injectables and medical supplies Enter patient demographics and test information into electronic systems Provide patient education and assist with post-visit instructions Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms daily Monitor medical supply inventory and report shortages to the Supply Manager Ensure daily pickup of laboratory specimens Route lab results to physicians for review and treatment planning Clean and shut down equipment at the end of the day Additional Responsibilities Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Maintain proficiency with practice management and computer systems Attend required staff meetings Perform additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications NCT certification preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively Comfortable using email, text, and internet-based applications Basic knowledge of insurance and medical office operations preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office with typing speed of at least 40 WPM Professional appearance and positive attitude Flexibility to work at both Sunnyvale and Kaufman locations Benefits Supportive, close-knit team environment No weekends or holidays On-the-job training (excluding NCT certification) Overtime paid at 1.5x for approved hours Paid holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual beginning after the first year (40 hours) Company-sponsored insurance options, including health, dental, and vision coverage •Benefits eligibility begins after successful completion of a 90-day trial.
