Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a pediatric primary care clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and excellent patient service abilities. Experience in pediatrics, primary care or urgent care is highly valued. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing essential patient care tasks, administering immunizations, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient settings Support physicians with procedures including medication administration, injections, and basic wound care Operate EHR systems efficiently to document patient information accurately Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required; additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred Prior experience in pediatrics, primary care, or urgent care highly desirable Experience working with EHR systems Familiarity with vaccines and ACIP guidelines a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care among a diverse patient population Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards This position is full time ; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:30 am - 6 pm, and Friday 7:30 am - 5 pm. Position does include 1-2 Saturdays (8 am - 11:30 am) per month.
Pay:
$17.50 - $19.50 per hour
