Job Description

Matrix Providers is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of talented professionals providing healthcare services to Military Service Members and their families at Naval Health Clinic Quantico.
Employment Status:
Full-time Compensation:
This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $23.23-$24.45/ hour; H&W $4.57
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:30 pm. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break.
Current schedule:
7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Depends on the Provider you are working with.

Plan Requirements:
Degree/Education:
Certificate; Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces. In lieu of graduation from one of these programs, the CMA may be a graduate of a program accredited by the state where the school is located.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current certification as a medical assistant by: The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or The American Medical Technologists (AMT) or The American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) or The National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) or equivalent.
Experience:
One year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation Core Duties Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival. Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed. Check patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading. Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form. Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered. Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms. Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies. Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released. #INDES
