Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Coder with a strong background in Orthopedic Surgery coding. This remote opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in code abstraction, Medi-Cal, and Hospital UB-04 billing and coding practices. Based on general knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and accurately assign medical codes for orthopedic surgery procedures, diagnoses, and related services. Perform detailed code abstraction from clinical documentation. Ensure coding compliance with payer, state, and federal regulations. Apply knowledge of Medi-Cal guidelines and requirements. Process and review coding related to Hospital UB-04 claims. Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding discrepancies and support clean claim submission. Maintain accuracy and productivity standards in a remote work environment.
