This role is Full-time working daytime hours Monday to Friday | REMOTE. This position is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in the following states - VA, MD, DC, DE, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV. Certified IRC Coder Job Responsibilities:
Maintains established standards for coding accuracy. Maintains established standards for Charge Capture Accuracy. Monitors unposted charge logs to ensure timely charge posting occurs when documentation is present and ready for data submission. Assures accurate and complete assignment of CPT codes and modifiers that are supported by medical record documentation for outpatient records. Maintains established standards for expected productivity percentage. Acts as liaison between clinical area and Coding operations to ensure revenue integrity is achieved.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Completion of AHIMA or AAPC-approved coding or health information technology program.
Experience:
4 years of recent coding or auditing experience in an acute care hospital.
Certification:
Obtain CIRCC within first six months of employment.
