Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director for Research to lead our clinical research initiatives and oversee medical aspects of research projects. This pivotal role involves guiding research strategies, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering innovation in medical studies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical research, healthcare management, and medical leadership, with a passion for advancing medical knowledge through rigorous investigation. As a key member of our team, you will drive excellence in research practices while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of clinical research studies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop research protocols that adhere to FDA regulations, NCQA standards, and healthcare compliance requirements. Supervise research staff and clinicians involved in clinical development, ensuring effective training and supervision in medical records management, patient care, and data collection. Ensure all research activities comply with
HIPAA, DEA
regulations, and other relevant legal frameworks to protect patient privacy and safety. Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical records to facilitate accurate documentation and data integrity. Monitor project progress through effective project management techniques, including budgeting, timeline tracking, and resource allocation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and healthcare trends to inform research strategies and clinical development initiatives. Skills Extensive experience in clinical research with a strong understanding of FDA regulations and healthcare compliance standards. Proven leadership skills with supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in hospital or clinical settings. Deep knowledge of managed care systems, utilization management, and healthcare management principles. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, medical terminology, and electronic health records management. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and treating patients as a physician. Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while adhering to budgets and timelines. Familiarity with NCQA standards, HIPAA regulations, DEA regulations, and practice management best practices. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments including medical leadership, hospital administration, and regulatory bodies. Join us as we push the boundaries of medical research!
