Position Overview We are seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Manager to lead our clinical team and drive departmental success. This dynamic full-time role offers a unique 50% administrative and 50% clinical split , allowing you to maintain a small caseload of clients while directly shaping program policies and supervising staff. You will work closely with our Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to manage budgets, support strategic plan initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of quality patient care. This position allows a flexible schedule with up to 40% remote work (based on approval). Established to address gaps in mental health support for South Asian and Middle Eastern populations, the organization offers comprehensive medical, mental health, and community-centered services through its Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) designation.
Essential Duties:
Provide clinical supervision to clinicians, conduct performance evaluations, and assign caseloads according to departmental needs. Maintain frequent communication and collaboration with team members. Supports the CMO in all administrative tasks for the behavioral health department and supports the budget requirements outlined in each FY budget process and the annual strategic plan initiatives. Staff supervision to include, yet not limited to:
Recruit and retain appropriately qualified personnel to provide services in Behavioral Health;
Hiring, performance management, timekeeping duties, productivity management, and compliance training were among the tasks completed;
Develop and implement staff training, recruitment, and professional development. Collaborate with the Clinical Leadership to:
Develop, refine, and implement program requirements and policies;
Create appropriate programs/services when indicated;
Ensure the highest standards of quality and service.
Participate in continuous quality improvement reviews and initiatives as needed. Participate in the Risk Quarterly Committee. Maintain a caseload of clients, per department need, and provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic services (50% clinical and 50% administrative).
Qualifications:
Required Master's degree in Psychology with 5+ years post-licensure experience providing care and counseling to psychiatric populations. Required at least 3 years of supervisory experience and the ability to lead, direct, and manage clinical staff. Required a minimum of 1 year managing a behavioral health team. Required to work a minimum of 1 evening per week. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of cultural issues, community resources, and family dynamics. Knowledge of laws and ethical standards related to clinical care. The ability to speak a language(s) similar to the populations we serve is preferred (Urdu, Bosnian, Spanish). Compliance with organizational TB and Influenza vaccination policies is required .
