The City of Ashland (pop. 3,086) is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the Emergency Medical Services Director position. The ideal candidate is motivated, has excellent communication skills and works well with the public, City staff and governing body. The Emergency Medical Services Director will manage, plan and direct the overall operations and activities of the Emergency Medical Service department, reporting to the Fire Chief and City Administrator. The department head will be responsible for 10-15 part-time employees and approximately 25-30 volunteers. A Paramedic License from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is preferred; and three (3) years of experience in management and command of EMS or Fire Rescue operations, or combination of related education and work experience in the EMS field.
