Medical Director paid per patient at personalized cancer vaccine clinic in New Hampshire

Job Description

Right to Thrive Medical P.A. is a clinic that will open this fall in southern New Hampshire to provide patients with access to investigational personalized cancer vaccines. The clinic will operate under New Hampshire's newly enacted Right to Try framework. Right to Thrive is hiring a fractional Medical Director to serve as the physician who meets each patient at the clinic and administers their n-of-1 vaccine. This is a per diem role, scheduled around dosing visits. It is intended to supplement an existing full-time practice, not replace it. The Medical Director will have the opportunity to be at the frontier of medicine and help advance patient care and science at one of the most high-leverage points in modern clinical care. What You Will Do
  • Meet each patient at the clinic and administer his or her dose
  • Serve as the responsible physician for clinical decisions at the point of care
  • Remain available for telecommunication with the local hospital for 24 hours following each dosing visit
  • Maintain a collegial working relationship with the local hospital system and coordinate emergent transfer if it is ever needed
  • Communicate with the patient's treating oncologist and primary care physician as appropriate
  • Help shape clinical protocols and safety practices as the clinic stands up Who You Are
  • MD or DO with an active New Hampshire medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Oncology, hematology, internal medicine, family medicine, immunology, or another relevant clinical background
  • Comfortable administering investigational products and managing infusion or injection reactions
  • Clear-eyed about the regulatory posture of Expanded Access and Right to Try, and precise in how you discuss investigational products with patients
  • Existing admitting privileges or working relationships within southern New Hampshire hospital systems are a strong plus
  • Reliable and responsive, with the judgment to escalate early The venture is guided by expert clinicians and scientists in the field, as well as patients with lived experience.
Pay:
Up to $300,000.00 per year
