POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Nursing (DON) for the Pediatric Medical Day Care program is responsible for the overall clinical management, supervision, and coordination of nursing services provided to medically complex pediatric patients. The DON ensures that nursing services are delivered safely, effectively, and in compliance with: Facility policies and procedures The New Jersey Nurse Practice Act NJ Department of Health Pediatric Medical Day Care regulations Department of Nursing standards Infection prevention and control policies The Director of Nursing oversees clinical operations, supervises nursing staff, promotes quality improvement, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver safe, family-centered pediatric care.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Current, unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum three (3) years pediatric nursing experience within past 5 years Supervisory or leadership experience preferred Current CPR certification (BLS required; PALS within 1 year of hire date) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills #W2
