The Medical Director at Choices Women's Medical Center and Comprehensive Medical Care, PC, holds a critical leadership role, providing direct clinical care and oversight for all aspects of gynecological, prenatal, and surgical services. Reporting to the President/CEO, this full-time, exempt position ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care in compliance with Federal, State, and City regulations. The Medical Director collaborates with senior leadership to align operations with the Center's mission and goals, overseeing services for GYN, prenatal, postnatal, pre-abortion, abortion, and post-abortion patients. Key clinical responsibilities include supervising and directing gynecological and prenatal services, ensuring compliance with ACHC accreditation standards, and overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures for all programs. The Medical Director also supervises OB/GYN mid-level providers, conducts performance assessments and peer reviews, and provides direct patient care as needed. Additionally, the role involves managing emergency care, hospital transfers, and referrals, while fostering professional education and training for healthcare staff. On the administrative side, the Medical Director works closely with the President and other senior staff to strategize clinic activities, ensure program stability, and support development and expansion. Responsibilities include representing the Center during regulatory inspections, chairing quality assurance and risk management committees, participating in chart audits and peer reviews, and overseeing clinical intern rotations. The Medical Director also plays a key role in maintaining relationships with other healthcare systems and ensuring proper documentation and billing through electronic medical record updates. This position requires a New York State-licensed, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN with at least three years of clinical management experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure while modeling the organization's vision and values. Bilingual preferred. Competitive salary based on experience.
Work schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday.
