Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Director to serve as our senior physician leader. Champion clinical excellence, shape innovative care models, and mentor a dedicated multidisciplinary team—all while maintaining an active primary care practice. You'll partner directly with executive leadership to drive quality, foster provider wellness, and expand access to high-quality care for our community.
Salary:
$230,000-$260,000
Schedule:
M-F, 32-40
hours
Patient Load:
60% patient, 40% admin/leadership
Robust Benefits Package What You'll Do Lead & Mentor:
Oversee and evaluate physicians and APPs, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Drive Quality:
Partner with compliance and quality teams on
HRSA/FTCA
standards, peer reviews, and population health initiatives (including UDS and value-based care).
Innovate & Collaborate:
Integrate medical services with behavioral health, dental, and school-based programs to deliver holistic care.
Shape Strategy:
Advise executive leadership on provider staffing, panel optimization, new care models, and long-term organizational goals.
Practice Medicine:
Maintain a balanced clinical schedule providing direct patient care in a community health setting.
What We're Looking For Education:
MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Current (or eligible for) unrestricted Virginia Medical License & DEA registration.
Certification:
Board Certified in a Primary Care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or similar).
Experience:
5+ years of active clinical practice required. Leadership experience in an FQHC, Community Health Center, or safety-net setting strongly preferred. Demonstrated background in team-based care, quality improvement, and
HRSA/FTCA
