Part-Time Dental Office Manager Confidential Inglewood, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time $24 - $30 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Operations management English High school diploma or GED Full Job Description A well-established general dental practice in Inglewood, CA, with 30 years of service to the local community, is seeking a dependable Dental Office Manager to provide temporary management support during a maternity leave. We are looking for someone who can help oversee the day-to-day operations of our dental practice, support our team, maintain an organized and efficient office, and provide excellent patient service. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative. This person should be able to work independently, communicate effectively with the dentist/owner, and help resolve day-to-day issues in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dental office
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to front-office staff
  • Help ensure office policies, procedures, and workflows are followed
  • Monitor the daily schedule and assist with cancellations, openings, and scheduling needs
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience
  • Assist with patient questions, concerns, and service recovery when needed
  • Oversee or assist with insurance verification, PPO insurance questions, billing, and claim follow-up
  • Monitor outstanding patient balances and assist with collections and accounts receivable
  • Help coordinate communication between the front office, back office, and dentist
  • Present Treatment plans to patients
  • If experienced with dental back office functions, help team when short staffed
  • Address staff and operational issues appropriately and communicate significant concerns to the dentist/owner
  • Help maintain appropriate staffing and office coverage
  • Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory as needed
  • Help identify areas where office systems and workflows can be improved
  • Take initiative in resolving routine operational issues without requiring constant direction
  • Help maintain a clean, professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an Office Manager or Office Supervisor
  • Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dental office operations
  • Experience with dental scheduling, insurance, billing, and collections
  • Familiarity with
  • PPO dental insurance and Medi-Cal
  • preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable supervising and providing direction to staff
  • Able to hold team members accountable in a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a small, family-oriented dental practice
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Covid-19 vaccinated
  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred Schedule
  • Temporary Part-Time Position
  • 3 to 3.5 days per week
  • Approximately 9:00 AM-5:30 PM (w/ a one hour lunch)
  • Approximately 22.5-26.5 hours per week to start Compensation $24-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Position Duration This position is intended to provide
