Trumbull, CT Job Details Full-time $20 - $35 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Management Team leadership Performance management Dental terminology Presentation skills Relationship management Front desk Full Job Description Dental Office Manager / Treatment Coordinator We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Dental Office Manager / Treatment Coordinator to oversee daily office operations and help provide an exceptional patient experience. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can confidently manage the front desk, treatment coordination, scheduling, clinical team support, laboratory cases, patient collections, and overall workflow of a busy dental practice. Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily dental office operations Coordinate treatment plans and clearly explain recommended treatment, fees, insurance benefits, and financing options to patients Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and help improve case acceptance Support and supervise front desk staff and ensure responsibilities are completed properly Coordinate and support dental assistants and clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient flow Manage doctor and hygiene schedules to maximize productivity while maintaining a positive patient experience Monitor schedule openings, cancellations, confirmations, and outstanding treatment Manage dental laboratory cases, including tracking cases, communicating with labs, and ensuring cases are received before scheduled appointments Review patient accounts and assist with collecting outstanding balances and treatment payments Discuss payment arrangements and financing options with patients Assist with insurance verification, treatment estimates, claims follow-up, and outstanding insurance balances when necessary Handle patient concerns professionally and work toward appropriate resolutions Maintain communication between doctors, clinical staff, front desk, laboratories, and patients Monitor office systems, protocols, and staff performance Help train and support team members Maintain a professional, organized, and positive office environment Ensure the practice schedule, collections, treatment coordination, and patient communication are consistently followed up on Qualifications Previous dental office management or dental treatment coordinator experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, insurance, and treatment planning Experience presenting comprehensive dental treatment plans Strong communication and patient relationship skills Comfortable discussing treatment costs and collecting patient balances Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Ability to manage both administrative and clinical workflow Experience communicating with dental laboratories Dependable, professional, and able to take ownership of responsibilities Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced dental practice Knowledge of dental practice management software preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive and takes ownership of the office rather than waiting to be directed . We are looking for a strong leader who understands both the business and patient-care sides of dentistry and can keep the doctors, front desk, clinical staff, laboratory cases, schedule, collections, and treatment plans organized. The candidate should be comfortable speaking with patients about larger treatment plans and helping patients understand their treatment and financial options while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach. Dental management and treatment coordination experience is highly preferred.
