Job Description

Job Summary The Medical Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a medical practice or clinic. This position involves managing the daily administrative functions, managing staff, planning marketing activities and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of medical office management, including experience with front desk operations, medical records and budgeting. Duties Oversee daily operations of the medical office, ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction. Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of service. Plan and support clinic marketing and patient outreach initiatives Manage front desk Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Coordinate patient care activities, including appointments, referrals, and follow-up communications. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic. Assist in budgeting and financial management for the clinic to optimize resource allocation. Provide administrative support to medical professionals as needed, facilitating effective communication between staff and patients. Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Provide backup support for clinical workflow when the Medical Assistant is absent Skills Proven experience in medical office management or a similar role within a dental office or clinic setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in medical administrative support functions, including scheduling, billing, and coding. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Knowledge of budgeting principles and financial management within a healthcare environment. Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment focused on patient care. Medical Assistant background or basic clinical knowledge Experience in a pediatric clinic is preferred This position is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of our medical practice while ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care possible.
