This position requires prior management experience in the dental industry (former Dental Assistant or related experience is preferred but not required). Excellent customer service and administrative skills are a necessity. The ideal candidate is well-organized, with great attention to detail and the ability to implement and uphold dental office regulations. Dental Office Manager Responsibilities Make patients feel welcome at Avenue Family Dental Manage daily patient schedule and scheduling appointments Coordinate with the Dentist, Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists to ensure an exceptional patient experience Manage staff schedule including time off requests Follow and enforce office policies and regulations ensuring staff compliance Assist with supply ordering process Check patients in and out, answering phones and checking voicemails Reviewing treatment plans and associated costs Sending insurance claims and posting insurance payments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Maintain a clean and professional office environment Manage patient satisfaction and address concerns accordingly and respectfully Skills Proven experience in the dental industry Excellent customer service Active and engaged listener Goal-oriented and proactive Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Well-organized and reliable Collaborative personality who cares for the greater good of the team Understanding of health & safety regulations required by OSHA High school diploma; if an Assistant, RDA or CDA required Additional certification or training is an asset
