Job Description

Veterinary Technician Supervisor Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care is seeking two (2) experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisors to lead and develop teams across our Emergency and Critical Care Units. We are seeking supervisors to work the back end of the week (Wednesday - Saturday) leading the Day and Overnight teams. These are meaningful leadership opportunities for accomplished veterinary technicians who are ready to expand their impact. As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor at Eclipse, you will have the opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and operational improvement. You will play an important role in shaping your department, supporting your team, and helping define what great veterinary medicine and great teamwork look like. Meet Eclipse Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care is a modern, privately owned specialty and emergency hospital built by board-certified specialists and a licensed veterinary technician who believe that the future of veterinary medicine depends on exceptional teams, supported and led exceptionally well. Our 24/7 hospital provides Emergency & Critical Care alongside Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, and Dentistry. We are equipped with advanced technology and resources, but what matters most to us is how we work together. We believe in high clinical standards, thoughtful leadership, continuous learning, and creating an environment where skilled people can do their best work. We are building intentionally and investing in people who want to contribute to something meaningful. The Role As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will lead one of our specialty or acute-care departments, supporting technicians and veterinary assistants who work in clinically demanding and often fast-paced environments. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing others, improving how work gets done, and creating the conditions for both patients and people to succeed. You will bring clinical credibility to your team while also serving as a coach, mentor, problem-solver, and partner to specialists, clinicians, and hospital leadership. You will have the opportunity to: Lead with presence, consistency, and sound judgment Help talented technicians grow in their skills and careers Strengthen clinical, operational, and team standards Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce unnecessary friction Create a department where people understand expectations and feel supported in meeting them Contribute ideas and help shape how your department evolves Lead a department and have a meaningful voice in how it develops Work closely with experienced specialists, clinicians, technicians, and hospital leaders Help shape training, career development, workflows, and team culture Continue developing your own leadership and clinical capabilities Be part of a hospital that values expertise, initiative, and thoughtful decision-making Build something lasting alongside people who care deeply about the quality of medicine and the experience of the team providing it We value leaders who are thoughtful, approachable, accountable, and confident in their ability to make decisions. What You'll Be Responsible For As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will: Lead, coach, support, and develop technicians and veterinary assistants within your assigned department Partner closely with specialists, emergency clinicians, and hospital leadership to support exceptional patient care Establish and maintain clear clinical, behavioral, and operational expectations Support onboarding, training, mentorship, and career development through defined leveling frameworks Provide regular feedback, recognition, coaching, and performance support Address challenges early, directly, and fairly while helping team members succeed Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, efficiency, and patient safety Help create appropriate staffing structures and support a sustainable, high-performing team Serve as a visible and trusted leader for your department Maintain strong clinical knowledge and remain connected to the day-to-day realities of patient care This is a working leadership role, and your clinical experience will be an important foundation for your success. Who Will Thrive in This Role You may be an excellent fit for this position if you are an experienced veterinary technician who is ready to have a broader impact.
Successful candidates will likely:
Have strong clinical experience relevant to their specialty or acute-care department (Credential Veterinary Technician preferred). Be recognized by colleagues as a dependable and knowledgeable resource Enjoy helping others learn, grow, and build confidence Have previous leadership experience or a demonstrated ability to lead through mentorship, influence, and example Communicate clearly and effectively, including during challenging or high-pressure situations Balance high standards with empathy and practical problem-solving Think beyond the immediate shift and look for opportunities to improve systems and processes Take pride in building strong teams and creating an environment where people can do excellent work Be comfortable making thoughtful decisions and taking ownership of outcomes Want to help build something sustainable rather than simply maintain the status quo Join Us If you are an experienced veterinary technician who is ready to combine clinical expertise with meaningful leadership, we would love to meet you. This is an opportunity to help develop people, strengthen teams, improve patient care, and play an important role in the continued growth of Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care. We are looking for leaders who believe that exceptional veterinary medicine starts with exceptional teams—and who are excited to help build one.
