[Office Manager / Hospital Director / Medical Director] About the Role We're looking for an experienced veterinary leader to join our team as Staff Manager , overseeing a team of approximately 15 total technicians, technician assistants, and hospital assistants. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned technician who has already proven themselves as a leader in a smaller or mid-sized practice and is ready to grow into a larger, more strategic position. You'll spend the majority of your time on training, mentorship, and day-to-day staff management, and smaller periods of time actively supporting the floor during procedures and urgent care cases — so you stay connected to the clinical work while building the team around you. We envision this hybrid role to allow training through practical skills on real-time patients as well as direct leadership through policy and time management. What You'll Do Streamline daily workflow for the technician team, delegating tasks to keep exam rooms, labs, and surgery moving efficiently and maintaining excellence in patient care Partner with our Office Manager on staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and balanced workloads Design, implement, and maintain training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development Directly train technicians on exam room procedure, laboratory equipment, surgical and anesthesia safety protocols, and general hospital policy Serve as the primary point of contact for staff concerns, mediating team dynamics and supporting a healthy, high-functioning work environment Step onto the floor as needed to assist with procedures, urgent care, and busy-period support Uphold and model our hospital's core values in daily operations and staff interactions Identify skill gaps and coach team members toward growth and certification goals Support performance reviews and provide input on hiring decisions for technician-level staff What We're Looking For Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with an emphasis on calm, direct, collaborative communication style CVT or RVT certification required , OR equivalent completion of an accredited veterinary technician program (certification exam not required if schooling is complete) Minimum 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role within a veterinary practice Proven experience managing team dynamics within a group of 15-20 staff members Strong working knowledge of exam procedures, laboratory equipment and processes, and surgical/anesthesia safety protocols Experience building and/or running staff training programs Comfortable balancing administrative/leadership duties with hands-on clinical support Alignment with our core values: patient-centered care, compassion, skillfulness, progressive medicine, and integrity Why Join Us This is an ideal next step for a technician who has led a team before and is ready for more scope, more impact, and a bigger team. Monday through Friday Flexible hours available from either 8a-4p, or 10a-6p average shifts CE budget for CVT/RVT Salary commensurate with experience

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
