Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented DME Billing Manager to lead our durable medical equipment (DME) billing operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire billing process for DME products and services, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and optimizing revenue cycle management. Your leadership will drive efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards, contributing directly to the financial health of our organization. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the end-to-end billing process for DME products, ensuring timely submission of claims to Medicare, Medicaid, health insurance providers, and third-party payers. Ensure compliance with all medical billing regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations, ICD coding standards, and healthcare billing guidelines. Supervise a team of billing specialists, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure proper documentation for all billing activities. Collaborate with clinical staff to verify medical necessity and ensure proper medical coding, including ICD coding accuracy. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on denied or delayed claims to optimize revenue recovery. Utilize billing software and Microsoft Office tools to generate reports, analyze data trends, and improve billing workflows. Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and insurance policies affecting DME billing practices to ensure ongoing compliance. Experience Proven experience in healthcare billing management with a focus on DME or durable medical equipment. Strong knowledge of medical billing regulations compliance, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively within a hospital revenue cycle management environment. Proficiency in using billing software systems and electronic health records (EHR) management tools. Brightree Experience is Preferred. In-depth understanding of health insurance policies, third-party billing processes, and medical coding standards such as ICD coding. Familiarity with hospital revenue cycle management processes and healthcare billing best practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and ensure accurate documentation.
