Job Description

Overview Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to the Medical Records Staff. Oversees the functions and activities of the staff and performs duties of staff as needed. Maintains confidentiality of records within the department. Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school, or two (2) years (60 credit hours) coursework from a 4-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
At least two (2) years of experience in a related field.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should know Database software and Spreadsheet software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
