JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results. Performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level practitioner.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Kidney Specialists teams at Samaritan Health Services focus on creating a partnership with patients, the primary care provider and the kidney specialist. We provide consultation and treatment of chronic kidney disease at an outpatient clinic.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic licensure required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Experience or training in medical terminology preferred. Lab/EKG experience preferred. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.
