Your expertise in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR) management, and clinical documentation will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires reliable local travel to different medical facilities, making flexibility and mobility essential. Duties Accurately transcribe and document detailed clinical notes during patient visits using electronic health record (EHR) systems Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure precise capture of medical information, including physiology and anatomy details Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Manage and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely Support the healthcare team by verifying medical terminology, coding, and records for clarity and correctness Assist in the organization of medical records and ensure proper filing according to hospital or clinic protocols Travel locally between different healthcare facilities as required, providing consistent support across multiple sites Qualifications Proven experience in medical transcription or scribing within a clinical environment, preferably with emergency room experience or in fast-paced settings Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools Demonstrated ability to achieve HIPAA compliance through meticulous handling of sensitive information Excellent typing skills with high accuracy; ability to transcribe rapidly during patient interactions Prior experience working in a medical office setting or with healthcare documentation standards Ability to travel locally between multiple healthcare facilities reliably and efficiently CMA/RMA would be a plus
