Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA, within a healthcare services environment. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys transforming healthcare data into actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. The Business Intelligence Developer will support data-driven decision-making by creating analytics content for end users and third parties who rely on Epic data. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Epic reporting tools and related data sources.
  • Transform healthcare data into meaningful insights that support clinical, operational, and business decision-making.
  • Work with end users and stakeholders to understand reporting needs, data requirements, and workflow objectives.
  • Use SQL, relational database concepts, and analytics tools to create accurate, user-friendly reporting content.
  • Support data model understanding, reporting development, and analytics design across healthcare content areas.
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with healthcare data standards, privacy requirements, and regulated environment expectations. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay range: $26 to $27 per hour.

    Los Angeles, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Create analytics content for end users and third parties who require Epic data.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions using healthcare analytics tools.
  • Analyze healthcare data structures and translate findings into actionable reporting solutions.
  • Support reporting needs across clinical, operational, and revenue-related data environments.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience with analytics tools and reporting development.
  • Familiarity with Epic applications, Epic database structure, or the ability to complete related training early in the implementation process.
  • Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of healthcare data models and apply that knowledge to reporting content.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • User-focused design mindset with an understanding of effective data visualization.
  • Ability to understand data structures that may benefit the broader data environment.
  • Active Epic certification in a relevant data model or Caboodle track may be required for certain internal or designated partner candidates. Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment, including HIPAA-governed settings.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Caboodle, Clarity, Cogito, or related Epic data models.
  • Experience working in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare operations setting.
