Our private general dental office, with over 30 years of dedicated service to the metro area, is seeking a talented and dedicated Dental Receptionist/Dental Coding Specialist to join our esteemed team. Position Overview:
As a Dental Receptionist/Dental Coding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by managing dental claims efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for handling various aspects of dental claims, collaborating with team members, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Process dental claims using Dentrix software. Maintain insurance aging and patient aging accounts. Research dental claims and pretreatment estimates, ensuring compliance with patient eligibility, benefits, and processing policies. Resolve return claims promptly to address any claim processing or issues. Collaborate closely with team members to expedite claim processing. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their dental benefits. Coordinate with dental providers to obtain necessary documentation for proper coding and billing. Stay updated with changes in dental coding guidelines and regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Assist in resolving coding-related denials or discrepancies. Communicate with insurance companies to address claims and reimbursement issues. Provide training and support to dental office staff on dental coding and documentation requirements. Assist in treatment planning based on patients' dental benefits Confirming patients, checking patients in and out.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in dental receptionist/coding and claims processing. Previous experience with Dentrix office management Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
