Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Answer and direct telephone calls while assisting with patient inquiries and requests
Complete new patient registration and accurately enter demographic information into the electronic health record system
Verify insurance coverage, patient demographics, and eligibility information to support accurate billing and patient records
Conduct patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Collect co-payments and self-pay balances while maintaining accurate financial records
Document patient messages, requests, and concerns according to established procedures
Receive, scan, route, and process incoming documentation and correspondence
Assist with forms, referrals, medical records requests, and other patient-related documentation
Maintain efficient patient flow and help minimize wait times throughout the day
Utilize Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications
Previous experience in a healthcare front office, medical office, or clerical role preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to understand and utilize medical terminology
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience processing payments and using credit card terminals preferred
Ability to build positive working relationships with patients, providers, and team members
Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole preferred
