Role:

Gulf Coast Heart and Vascular LLC is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our cardiology and vascular practice in Chipley, FL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated healthcare team where your skills make a real difference in patient care every single day. The position is for two days a week, 8:00am-5:00pm. Some travel to Panama City may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner at the front desk Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and patient payments Maintain and update accurate patient records in the EMR/EHR system Answer and route incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office Handle medical records requests, faxes, and general administrative correspondence

Requirements:

Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and general office technology Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
