Front Desk & Insurance Authorization Specialist Nassau Open MRI | Full-Time Nassau Open MRI is looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized individual to join our team! This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, working in a fast-paced medical office, and being part of a supportive team. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients and referring offices Schedule and confirm MRI appointments Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately Verify insurance coverage and benefits Obtain prior authorizations for imaging services Communicate appointment preparation instructions to patients Request necessary orders, clinical notes, and supporting documentation from referring providers Maintain accurate patient records and protect confidential information Assist with general front-office duties as needed Qualifications Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude Strong communication and customer-service skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Comfortable working on the phone and using computer-based scheduling systems Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy medical office Reliable and able to work well with others Previous medical office, insurance verification, or authorization experience is preferred but not required What We Offer Full-time employment Friendly and supportive work environment On-the-job training Opportunity to become an important part of a patient-focused healthcare team We are looking for someone who will treat every patient with kindness, communicate clearly, and help keep our scheduling and insurance processes running smoothly.
