Be part of making an impact in public health alongside dedicated people just like you As an PH Dental Receptionist within the Dawson, Forsyth & Lumpkin County Dental Clinics within the Health Departments within the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health , you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges. Under general supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a clerical or administrative supervisor. Manages the appointment schedule at the direction of the Dentist Verifying Insurance Updating patient information Enter treatments into VHN system Greet patients and answer questions regarding the Dental Program Coordinate Head Start clinics with Family Partner Coordinate dental appointments and referrals for the Ryan White Program Create new patient records Prepares and forwards monthly statistical reports High School diploma or GED AND Two years of general office or administrative experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
