As a leading eye care provider in the Berkshires and beyond, we focus on ensuring our patients have the best experience before, during, and after they visit us for their exams, procedures, and eyewear needs. This position works closely with the optical and clinical staff to ensure that each patient receives superior-quality care and may include various tasks throughout the building and among departments.

Primary responsibilities include:

Make each patient feel welcome as they enter the office Answer and return phone calls Check-in patients for appointments, ensuring the accuracy of demographics and insurance information Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments throughout the day Collect copays and outstanding medical or optical fees Obtain insurance authorizations/referrals and check eligibility File, pull, and prepare patient charts for upcoming visits Fax, copy, and send out information Candidates must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and always maintain patient professionalism. Medical office experience is strongly preferred, but those with a related background will be considered.
