Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental practice as a Front Desk Dental Office Coordinator and become the welcoming face of our clinic! You will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, insurance verifications, and medical records with precision and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification using platforms like Athenahealth or other health information management systems Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily clinic flow Collect and review patient documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies, including medical records management and documentation review Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear communication regarding appointment scheduling, billing inquiries, and general questions Process payments, perform medical billing tasks including CPT coding and
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding, and follow up on outstanding balances with patients or insurance providers Maintain organized filing of medical records, electronic health records (EHR), and other administrative documents while adhering to health information management standards Support clinical staff by assisting with intake procedures, data entry using Microsoft Office tools, and maintaining accurate patient information in EMR/EHR systems Experience Prior experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms like Meditech or Epic Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, claims submission, and Medicare/Medicaid procedures Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), medical billing practices, and documentation review procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing speed of at least 10-key typing for efficient data entry Knowledge of dental terminology combined with clinical confidentiality policies ensures compliance and professionalism in all interactions Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing outstanding administrative support in a vibrant dental practice!
