Thursday:
8:30 a.m.•7:00 p.m.
Friday:
8:00 a.m.•6:00 p.m.
Saturday:
8:30 a.m.•7:00 p.m.
Sunday:
8:30 a.m.•7:00 p.m.
Weekend Shift Premium:
This position includes an additional weekend shift premium for Saturday and Sunday hours worked.
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Patient Access Manager and as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Medical Receptionist serves as an important first point of contact for patients receiving care through our Walk-In Primary Care Services. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing friendly, professional, and efficient front-desk support while ensuring patient information is accurate and complete. Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting and updating demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, collecting copayments and outstanding balances, obtaining information needed for medical documentation, and ensuring patients receive the appropriate forms and information. What You'll Be Doing:
Register patients and accurately collect demographic and insurance information. Verify and update patient insurance and contact information. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Collect copayments, patient balances, and other applicable fees. Provide patients with appropriate forms and assist with the completion of required documentation. Collect information necessary for accurate patient records and documentation. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow applicable privacy and organizational policies. Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients and families. Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Assist other team members as needed to support efficient daily operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of medical office or healthcare experience preferred. Previous electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred. Must be available to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
